Finishing Production
My group project as I spoke about previously is "play, agency and interactive narrative." We are just coming up to production stage now and I'm very happy to say we have a lot of work done. We know the order the video will go in and know what each person has/wants to say.
This week our survey went live which we shared to our Instagram's, our friend groups and also Creative digital media year one and two. We want to gain as much knowledge about the public and gaming as possible that's why we shared it to a large variety of people to get fair results. The response so far has been over 80 people and that's with it just being uploaded under 24hours.
After, we went and spoke about what each of us want to say and how to make all topics flow together. We watched videos on YouTube to get a greater insight into how to introduce and finish our video because we have a fair idea on what content to put in between but were blocked in how to begin the video. We decided to introduce each member of our team and what they will discuss. With it only being a 6minute video we need to be fast as we have several pieces of great content that we don't want to lose.
I am going to speak why we game and incorporate some of the survey as it hits off topics related to this. We are going to do this with some of our topics for example Kailan and Finn will both speak on monetisation, console and PC games which we will be able to link the survey in, meaning this whole piece will flow nicely together. We will then move onto devices that games can be played on we will include background sound and use videos of people using the likes of laptops, mobile devices etc.
Kailan has organised and interview with Zoe Collins who is a blogger/gamer and has won many world championships, she has kindly agreed to let us interview her next week. We set out a list of questions to ask her today in class and I am really looking forward to learning about her experience.
From this you can see we have everything organised its just the getting it done part now. We have all decided to meet up during next week, borrow a camera and try get some shots in. I am so looking forward to learning more about production.
